At ContentPulse, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we collect:

  • Your email address
  • Your name (as provided by Google)
  • Your Google profile picture (optional)

Google Search Console Data

With your permission, we access your Google Search Console data in read-only mode:

  • Search performance metrics (clicks, impressions, position, CTR)
  • Search queries associated with your pages
  • URL performance data
  • List of verified sites in your Search Console

Note: We cannot modify, delete, or write any data to your Google Search Console account.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Detect content decay by analyzing changes in your search performance over time
  • Send you alerts when we detect significant traffic declines
  • Provide competitor analysis and content recommendations
  • Display dashboards and reports within ContentPulse
  • Process payments and manage your subscription

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Google OAuth Authentication and Search Console data access
Stripe Payment processing. We do not store your credit card information.
Postmark Transactional email delivery (alerts, digests)
Sentry Error tracking and application monitoring

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active:

  • Account information: Until you delete your account
  • Search Console metrics: Up to 16 months for trend analysis
  • Decay alerts: 12 months

When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, you have the right to:

Request correction of data

Request deletion of data

Portability

Export in machine-readable format

6. Cookies

  • Encryption at rest using AES-256
  • Secure OAuth 2.0 token storage
  • Regular security audits and updates

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by posting the new policy here and updating the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we will send you an email notification.
